Dear
Friend,
Since I came to Congress, I’ve put over 200,000 miles on my pickup
truck while traveling throughout the 24 counties of Tennessee’s Fourth
Congressional District. Wherever I go, I’m meeting school teachers
and first responders, farmers and businessmen, factory workers and homemakers
of all political ideologies expressing their frustration with politics-as-usual. Their
concern for the divisive issues put forward by partisans and demagogues
is overshadowed by a sincere desire to see America address its most pressing
affairs: that the cost of fuel is too high, the availability of healthcare
is too little, and the War in Iraq is in need of a new direction.
There is no amount of political spin that can make
it easier for a mother in Crossville
to fill her tank, no television ad that will get a veteran in Harriman
the care he or she deserves, and no sound bite that can set a new direction
for Tennessee’s sons and daughters in Iraq. Tennesseans
want answers. For them, and for me, it’s about common sense
and real solutions to the issues facing all of us. In this vein,
I look forward to continuing my service in Congress. With your
help, we will win in November and continue our work to move America
forward.
Thank you for visiting my site. I look forward
to seeing you on the trail.
Sincerely
Lincoln
